Governance

Although each Business Unit has an individual focus, strength of IFYS is our capacity to work collaboratively to provide integrated services and support to children, young people, families and the community.
The IFYS Group is supported by a Board of Directors who have significant experience in business and service provision and are drawn from local communities. We operate under a strong governance structure and as part of its continuous improvement strategy the Board has developed a training strategy to ensure it keeps abreast of changing governance and risk management areas.
IFYS has an established reputation based on a high level of accountability, high quality of service delivery, organisational integrity and a consistent culture and values. We have a strong commitment to quality management and service standards, demonstrated by our achievement of international certification against the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.
This quality system is supported by the attainment of Disability Services Queensland service standards, the Department of Child Safety Protection Standards, the Department of Communities Standards and a commitment to the achievement of any future standard/quality requirements.
As part of our organisational vision, IFYS has committed to the implementation of the eight principles within the Australian Business Excellence Framework. We are currently undertaking the initial self assessment as part of this implementation strategy.
